This time last year, I was praying school would simply end. I was approaching the end of my graduate program, and I was happy to know I would no longer have to sacrifice my weekends for class or school work. I am very grateful to have gone to school when I did and though my program. I remember my undergraduate professors encouraging us to get real-world teaching experience before going to graduate school. I value their advice. I think teaching a few years made my master degree much more meaningful and I saw the maturity in my mathematical abilities. I studied better and no longer had testing anxiety (something that haunts many children I encounter, but that’s a conversation for another post.) I’m happy I earned my second degree when I did. It wan an invaluable journey I’ll hold close to my heart.
Schools out… for now.
